yep. Goes back to the thoughts that runner volume isnt the end all to cylinder heads. Architecture is the key.
id love to see the numbers from 3500-5000. My guess is its making more than enough torque to get a 32 skater up and flying i think a 632+ using the new big m pro series block and these heads would be the ticket. |
Very impressive numbers that should get your skater to 160MPH with out a problem nice job.

Did you run any vacuum on the motors when you had them on the dyno? If you did how much?
|
Engine
The pumps pull around 9 inchs of vacuum.

I can’t wait to hear this beast. |
Know the fun begins

We made one pull down at 4500 but i cant remember the numbers off the top of my head but it was mean. David add more water to the pump. He said he dont like pulling motors like that down low because its rough on his pump.
David is right , I wouldnt pull my dyno that hard either! |
Those look like the B&M 2 speed marine transmissions. I have a set as well in my Cat. Where did you get parts for them?
I believe they are a derivative of a 727 torqueflite........so most of the internals should interchange. Any information is appreciated. Im also following this build because I have a somewhat similar set up in mine......598's, dart big chiefs, single dominator's, B&M 2 speeds, SSM #5's......unfortunately I do not know what cams are in the engines since I just bought the boat in April. Ill have to get off my butt and measure the valve events.....so far ive just sorted out the over richness of the carbs and will install a CB black boxes (only $200 and they interface between the distributor and MSD box) so I have computer control over timing. |
