Ya, see everyone saying you need a bigger pitch to go faster, but if I’m topping out 4500 rpm on a bravo 1 with 24 pitch then mathematically speaking a 22 pitch should get me a better top end. Right ? Thanks

Correct, the only way you can go faster with more pitch, is you need more HP to turn it in the optimum WOT RPM range. If you cannot turn the 24 at 5K then your just lugging the motor

Alright, new prop just tested, it’s a 22 pitch bravo 1 with a 15.25 diameter, rpms went from 4500 to 4900 mph rose to about 64-65. Anyone ideas, thanks.

I would say your in the great area. Between 4.5% (65mph) 6% (64mph) slip.

Same boat here, running a 22 Solis 14" Dia. looking to try a 23 Bravo 1 w/15.25 Dia. Anyone know what the fuel capacity is on the 28? I'm guessing 60-70 gals.

Each tank is 30 gallons from what we measured, so 60 combined. What is your top speed btw?

Please post video of you doing this as I dont see how thats possible,,,,

In this diagram you are looking at the prop from the side, the red is the blade, the pitch on the top pik is say 19 and the bottom pik is say 26. its a measurement of angle or degree, not sharpness,
