If i was going to do what your wanting to do I'd use a "j w wheel", most rugged, true running flexplate that exist. Ive used them on stuff that broke flexplates, expensive, heavy for a flex plate but still lighter than even a aluminum flywheel, fwiw, smitty<br />http://www.jegs.com/p/JW-Performance/JW-Performance-The-Wheel-Flexplate/748581/10002/-1

just wondering if I can rid of some rotating mass.
Ayuh,..... Motors need a certain amount of rotatin' mass to perform properly,.....

I'd be concerned that if ya do as ya say, the motors will stall, every time ya put the drive into gear,....
