When Planning. , Always go with the grain and be sure your blade is sharp. Use bathroom before planning to avoid Blowouts |
Proper planning will avoid blowouts before going on Plane. And avoid seats near babies, even if their mommies are Hot. |

No problems planning or blowing out??
One season it had a 454 mag in it, I built out of scrap.. It Knocked, but ran 68 MPH with a 26 Bravo I lol The Only issue it had was when I originally had the tabs mounted parallel to the hull, the stern would skate sideways when trying to correct a list.. Not sure if my high X was a contributing factor or not.. I ended up re-mounting the tabs flat and it worked GREAT... I did put my 555 in it without the blower for a bit.. ran 86 MPH (630 hp) https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...dc563c0415.jpg |
My 22' Avanti was set at 16.19" from the factory I think but it's tough to measure accurately with the small curved "delta pad". I plan on raising mine this coming winter if all goes as planned. From everything I've read on here in the past it sounds like Pantera recommended 17 but then Thomas had his mounted at 18ish and it worked great with certain props. I plan on cutting mine at 18.5 and then spacing down if needed. Post some pics when you're done please.....I'm curious to see how the transom looks when its finished

Here's how mine looks now......I went with a 3" taller exhaust last year since I hated how low the original exhaust was. You can see I still have height to move everything up a few more inches with the +3" risers
