Alternator Pully ?

Alternator Pully ?
So, I FINALLY got to get a GOOD run with my new engine on our first poker run of the season..
... Ran it 5500 -6000 RPM for about 10 minutes.. (90 - 98 MPH... )
Got to the first stop and found my alternator belt was shredded...
Checked the alignment, it was good. Alternator spins free. .. Put a new belt on it and went out for a test run and it started melting AGAIN..
The ONLY thing different from all the other testing I've done is, the stereo batteries had gone dead and I had my battery switch selected to charge all three batteries..
Stereo batteries went dead because I lost a blower belt (tensioner was worn) and it took out the signal wire on my auto battery switch so it's not turning on..
ONLY thing I can think of is I'm spinning the alternator too fast or it has too much load for the pulley size causing belt slip.. It's an API 20075 94 amp ...
ANY ideas ?
THANKS !
