If he takes the charge pipe off and left the belt on the blower, the motor could breath but would waste the energy spinning the blower ( 15-20% of your flywheel hp ) those should be about 460-470 hp in NA. so that number minus what it takes to spin the blower (~69-94hp)

Guess because the motor was trying to breath through a 1/4" gap that covers the whole inside diameter of the blower. like i said above really restrictive.

Ive thought about just running it for a bit with them on, but worried I might like it too much.
Rather just take them off now, while I don't have a place to put it yet, as boathouse is under construction. Then just enjoy it in stock form.
