Hi Bup,
Thanks for the feedback and pics. I have a few questions/comments: 1) The 4 beeps alarm went off after I replaced the fuel. 2) What is the spec for the air pressure? My understanding is that it is supposed to be 10psi higher than the fuel pressure, which when I checked it last night was 108psi. Thus the air pressure should be 118psi. Is that correct? 3) Do you know of a DIY video or post that explains how to clean the air injectors? I'd be willing to try but I don't even know how to begin. |
they is no DIY for cleaning air injectors it takes a special machine and special procedures, The cost for air injector is 450 bucks PER ONE for an average cost - The service is 35 bucks with new orings. The tefon seal installed is another $ 7.50 per one.if it needs a new one. Sometimes not and sometimes the teflon needs to be replace. 50 / 50 for the replacement on an average. . The machines starting base price is 10 K. and have to operate for GDI .injectors.
Mess even one up - power head failure will take place. . Pick your poison - they are a maintenance item over time. The 2 stroke oil is important requires DFI oil and quality gas. Merc racing OPti's require even a higher blend of 2 stroke DFI oil.. The carbon is bad more times than not. Air and fuel pressure depends on the app - the difference is from 10.5 to 15 psi. |

BUP- What is the Special blend for the Pro XS engines. I have a 150 Pro XS on my pontoon and have been using the opti oil I thought was right.
