Oil tank and Seafoam
 

I don't think there's anything wrong with the oil tank sensors, since the is no warning alarms going off.

do you guys think seafoam could help?

Sorry man --- have to be a wise guy now. Would nt a certified Merc optimax tech with a scan tool might help above and beyond than the mechanic in the bottle. Sea foam and DYI ur air injectors ur killing me. . The ONLY fuel alarm is the water sensor in the filter number 20. SO WHEN WAS THE TIME YOU CHANGED number 19 ??? that is once per year bare min. .

Send your boat in to someone that knows what they are doing PLEASE before you do more harm than good before you will have to really open up ur wallet. Solid advice here. .Why do you think they call these engines opti pop or optibomb. happens all the time because the owners do not maintain them correctly. Does anyone else have any suggestions? At least suggestions I can try on my own? I know I probably need to take it to a certified mercury mechanic but I hate to pull it out of the water since it's still running, and the summer is so short.

BUP is right, without certain tools, scanner. You are just guessing. I am no mechanic, but I have gotten pretty good with my optis. I had to buy the gauges for the air/fuel, software and cables to read codes, and a factory manual to know what all sensors and voltage should be. Your problem may even be something as simple as a voltage issue. I've seen the optis do some crazy things when they don't have proper voltage. A loose battery cable can throw alarms and send it into guardian. Start at all your basics, then get it on a scanner.

and they require a cranking battery only - no wings nuts for the battery terninals. Also 1000 cranking amps is needed.

like I said the fuel side has only one alarm and that is water in the fuel water sep filter that the water sensor picks up. I posted the link of that.

Thanks for confirming what I have said here. Optimax can end up with many issues from tracker valves and those air injectors, even the side feed fuel injectors can become a problem with corrosion on the 2 connection . terminals to name a few
