Default time to step up to the plate

well after many years of reading. ive decided to giveit a shot , pulling a motor to change coupler . probly just move engine forward , question is , can I use strap off intake on fully dressed motor , thought about going under whole intake and lifting , but not sure about that either . what you guys think.. thanks again rob

Does the engine have lifting eyes? If so, that’s what I use. You can run a bolt into the front of the head. There’s several ways to do it

nope no lifting rings , bummed out , that's a lot of weight on carb intake bolts im thinking .

Just buy lifting plates and screw them on the two adjecent corners. Use grade 8 bolts if you are nervous. They are only like $30

Lifting plate bolted to the carb bolts with a harbor freight 1/2ton chain hoist worked like a champ for me. If you have an airgap intake just run a strap through it.

I also found electric towers to be a useful gantry, lol.

the tower even has a warning sign on it . Prob says WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE STAY 3000 FT AWAY.

Have a bunch of these and drilled out for all different hole patterns Just one example in the pic -- Works for many apps
