IF you have the time and money the Holley HP set up is probably the best marine application on the market, no comparison to 20 yr old technology

I guess my question is the history of your setup. Did it run pretty good or at least okay for a few years THEN this happened? If so, Id prob try to get to root of the problem. Yes, a more mpodern efi that sees boost and has multipliers above 100 kpa and timing reduction under boost would be miles ahead. Auto tune on top of that would be even sweeter,
just remember though, holley might be autotune but its NOT auto install and auto setup so I guess it depends on your skill level and understanding of efi., Smitty

I had a similar issue but with MEFI3. Was dumping fuel above 3K and breaking up. Turned out it was the map sensor wiring at the connector (map side).

Yes it ran real good for years. This issue started as a very intermittent issue about 4 years ago, now it's almost everytime we go out
