Mice

I used mothballs in a car years ago. In the spring when I got the car out, the whole interior smelled like mothballs and no amount of cleaning could ever get that smell out. Currently I use 4-5 boxes of dryer sheets per boat. In the cabin, cockpit, bilge. They leave a nice smell in the spring and are easy to pick up with a shop vac.

funny you mention that. I did the same thing in a car. I put in plastic coffee cans however only way I got rid of that smell was an oxonator. Those work great for inside boat cabin also. I bought a boat that sat for sometime with moisture in the cabin and left a nasty smell from some mold and mildew. I left a dehumidifier in for a week until dried out and then ozonator off and on a few times. I guess I will leave it as less moth balls and more dryer sheets regards to the mice. I'm going to do the old school trick MT mentioned in both buildings kinda forgot about that one.
