If that torque curve was on your EKG screen the sheet would be pulled over your head. Looks nice and flat man. Should run fine on marina gas too at 9:1.

Is that a 13.2% correction factor, wow

92Cole 09-21-2019 10:31 PM

Is that good or bad

that means you’re likely not making a true HP number. They corrected the power quite high. I’d want to see the weather data and Uncorrected numbers also. Plus by time you add marine exhaust and all your accessories you’ll likely be a lot lower in real world numbers.

valve guides are tight,,better hope it doesn't run hot.

on the sheet it show 1.132 do you move the decimal point over

Crude Intentions 09-22-2019 02:13 PM

Yes. 1.0 would be none. That .132 is 13.2%

my goal was 630-650 HP in a 22’ boat should have it moving nicely

based on what I’m seeing I’d guess more in the 575 range at best fully dressed in marine trim with wet exhaust. What exhaust will be on it in the boat?

Nice build. 700 plus hp, not a chance. Pretty much a stock compression ratio of an HP500. No way would bolting on some afr heads, and a little larger cam, net over 200hp gain on an HP500.

Tons of 502 builds around here over the years, with afr heads and a bob m cam. They usually make right around 600 give or take.

To get a legit 700hp, gonna take a lot more than a 8.8:1 509ci. With all the variations in dynos, and dyno trims, I dont put alot of faith in dyno numbers anymore, unless theres gobs of data to look at. Main thing is did you get a good tune, and the engine pulled cleanly to peak rpm without issues.

The engine made 623hp uncorrected.

Beautiful boat. Congrats ! Should be tons of fun with approx 600hp depend on how well tuned and exhaust used.

I would ask for my dyno money back. It has no valid info on it. :(
