The "intercooler" is separate from the intake manifold. The "intercooler" cools the pressurized intake air before it enters the "intake manifold" then into the engine. You need to run water through it typically driven by the seawater pump, which has a belt driven pulley. The Whipple coolers are made from Cupronickel and do not corrode, so you can run salt water through it no problem. https://whipplesuperchargers.com/ind...product_id=110. The closed cooling system needs a circulation pump, also with a pulley and belt driven by the engine.
