You can run the GM flex fuel sensor with the Holley system to compensate for different ethanol amounts

Do you know how it connects to the Holley ECU?

To me E85 loves boost, works well with about 12-1 or so, but great with boost

They make a tool for testing the fuel.
What about the sensor that they use with the FAST system?
13-16 depending on who you ask. I suspect the people claiming it must be on the lower end run it too lean.

My engine was designed and built to install an M4 Procharger.
I know that that would be the best choice but they are BUTT UGLY
This same engine produced 1425 HP on Dave Wesseldyke's dyno with the M4.
I have enough room to install the intercooler under the engine and IF I could install the M4 as low as possible and run the pipe up the back of the engine that goes to the carb hat I might be able to do that.
I like the looks of the Whipple but I will be going sequential port EFI.
4.0 is commonly used at 1100ish. 4.5 can do 1250ish. 5.0/8.3 can do 1600.

there are quad rotor 2.3 thru 4.0 setups out there too.

I love E85 for a hot rod fuel.....but availability on the water, reduction in range and possible fuel tank damage (although I have not encountered fuel system issues on my cars) have kept me away from it for my boats.

Ive only used it in turbocharged applications. Ive run up to 23 lbs of boost on a 100% stock long block SBC without issues (blowthrough carb, non-intercooled) in a street car toy that sees the track a few times a year.

My vote is you do it for a forced inducted engine...then if you have to run gas or change your mind you can just reduce boost to fit the fuel.....if you had a high compression engine converting back to gas would be much more work and $$$.

We've been running E85 in the boat for 6 years now without any tank issues. But we trailer the boat and just fill up along the way.

Another alternative that I have been thinking about is using a 100% staged system for a turbocharged application.

Small primary injectors for "cruising" on 87 oct...........then larger injectors upstream for boost that meter a higher octane fuel. (E85, methanol, Avgas, etc)......an "octane on demand" set up.

I believe the Holley Dominator ECU is capable of this....most of my research has centered around Megasquirt products and I know MS3 can support staged injection.
