Figured this would be a nice option? Alex Haxby pointed out he likes to use a dual sync with a billet cap, no need for a seperate crank sensor.. seems like another option. Eddie |
TOTALLY agree ^^^^^^ and to add sometimes actually more than sometimes alignment of the distributor gear is not perfect either with the cam gear. That gets missed sometimes. That will cause timing issues as well. I am fan of crank triggers - but keep water away from them as well.

Well I built a new drive stand Sunday and got the drive off without having to lift it at all.
Then I pulled the engine just before dinner. I ordered the crank trigger and distributor plug with cam sync and oil pump drive. Should be here Wed. Now all I have to do is mount all of that stuff. MUCH easier to do out of the boat. |
any of you guys move the alternator to the starboard side of the engine and mount a procharger where the alternator was.
I was told that the discharge can be turned to blow down. I want to mount the intercooler under the engine so the only UGLY part I have to see is the pipe coming back up to the throttle body. where can I get a bracket to mount the alternator on the left side? |

This was my plan for the alternator to make room for the external oil pump |
Where did you get the bracket to do that?

Any chance of that getting wet when a hose breaks
|
I have been boating for 40 years and have yet to blow a hose.
