Checked everything today and it worked perfectly! Two rocker switches (trim and trailer) on the dash worked properly as did the trim in the handle. Checked all connections on the pump, nice and clean, no corrosion and everything is tight.
I assume it's an electrical gremlin and will likely happen again. If so, I'll call the dealer and suggest they replace a couple of solenoids.
Thanks for all the replies, I'd say your advice is spot on.

Long periods of NON use of the trim is common for this to take place. making sure everything is good and a strong battery - one is good to go alot of times. If it keeps happening especially in short order, then I would change out the up and down solenoids .[/QUOTE]\
Strong battery and keeping condensation and any formed corrosion at bay you most likely will be good to go - Like I said NON use of the trim is common what you had taking place.

Yep, guilty. The boat had not been in the water for 12 months. Every couple of months, I run the engine on the hose, turn the wheel lock to lock, raise/lower drive and tabs but I know that's not enough. Giving it a good run blows out the cobwebs and works every part of the boat. Great to get on the water, I even took photos to prove it!

You'll hate me for this but after a day out, I get engined flushed and everything cleaned properly for about 8 USD. Carpets out, all lockers opened, covers cleaned and then everything sits open for a day or so (weather permitting) to dry and air out. Love Thailand!
