Default DUI 8 pin module

I'm wondering if this is a good up-grade vs a stock module, I'm not running it with MEFI it is a stand alone EST ignition. The stock curve works for me and larger cams so not really looking to replace the ignition to a programmable just yet, anyone used them ???

Im curious what your issues were. I’ve been really happy with my simple two wire set up myself, so far.

first time I ran my brand new motors the part under the rotor that senses when to break the spark was never secured to the shaft, partially melted 3 pistons!! A couple of years later, both distributors failed within one day of each other, the bushings were sooooo sloppy that the rotors both went up and destroyed the hei caps!! Also had pickup sensor failures along the way, if you had these problems, would you ever run them? I rum msd on my present boat and yes I carry spare boxes!!

That's the one John just seeing if anyone has used them, may just get one and see what happens. Just not sure if they have the ignition curve in them or not?
