I understand what your saying SB. Lots of 496 ho upgrade threads here. Wonder if OT swapped out springs with cam change. Evidently the stock ones are on the weak side but then again the cam is only like 224/232-510. I'm curious what new cam specs are also. Regardless my only thought was to sell a good running stock 496 ho before he gets into deep. If springs weren't changed he may have saved himself from a catastrophe. Cast pistons in the 496 ho?

The OP must have used an aftetrmarket cam and some random program. Its pretty easy to pick up 50-100 hp with a cam swap and a Whipple ECU. Even the rockers are bolt in and done, no adjustment necessary. Once you go outside of the Raylar cams and whipple programs you are pretty much screwed.
