Default dual cooler bellhousing

Just got my buddies 580's in the shop and they have the dual coolers in the bell housings, from looking at them I dont think their plumbed correctly, shouldn't there be a cross over from cooler to cooler for circulation, it has plugs in the top of the coolers, the sea pump deadends into the trany cooler, and a hose connecting the other oil cooler to the thermo housing with the 2 coolers not tied together.

They have a cavity that connects the two of them across the bottom of transmission it's on the inside. It might have a drain in the middle of the bottom take a look.
