I have this water pickup that I got from Hardin marine that I am getting ready to install. I am still running and alpha sterndrive, but I am switching to a crank mounted water pump instead of using the one in the drive, in preparation to switching to a bravo drive over this coming winter.




Are there any rules of thumb as far as placement of this thing? How close should the hole be to the bottom of the transom, how far down below the bottom of the hull should it stick out?
