how did you bleed the system after installing the pump
- I undid nut on both lines and also turning it to, just idling and not even turning anything it just starts erupting out of filler cap like a volcano. I’m wondering if my lines could be crossed cause they go from pump and under engine and thru then back of wall of transom . You can’t really see under engine to tell. Would that cause it to erupt out maybe

I had the same thing happen to me a bazillion years ago when I was adding power steering to a '69 3/4 ton Chevy truck. I bet i burned up 4 or 5 junkyard pumps with the same results. Bottom line is you're not bleeding the system properly of air.Originally Posted by Cigarettemistress1978
