if you have an inline filter, try bypassing it. My system came with one on the pressure side and was a major restriction, magnet in the reservoir is sufficient.

thank you I will try that for sure , was told that something may need to be drilled to increase flow? anyone have any idea what this might be

where the high pressure line comes out of the pump there is a big nut, the oriface is part of the assy that comes out with the big nut.

I sent the same thing over to Daniel via PM. I had to do this on my Latham system.

dual rams , single motor , yes it look a lot to initially prime it , the steering WAS working then my old merc power steering pump leaked so I thought I would replace it which I did , filled the new automotive one pretty much to the top obv could have been a little air in there , gonna try cracking rams at the back to see if there is any air ....

the rams are under pressure from the helm at rest so dont get a face full.....:D

sounds good thanks for the advice gonna rip it apart AGAIN and drill the hole bigger , so ram hard over then crack the line at the back on the ram that's fully extended , im really losing patience really hope this fixes it

You'll love it when it's done. I did a poker run in my 311 last weekend... what a difference! The washing machine pretty much had no affect on the boat's direction, point and go! We also road back home about twenty-five miles across the Chesapeake Bay.... sitting at the helm barely even working the wheel... straight as an arrow!

You'll get it right Daniel.

Is the steering running through a cooler before the fluid returns to the pump, where are you located, maybe someone on here could help out
