Default 502 Front Crank Seal(s) keep leaking

Rebuilt the engine last year and keep getting a front seal leak.

During the rebuild, we replaced the original seal, cleaned the damper seal face. Installed the seal on the bench.

I've replaced the seal 3X, tried multiple mfg's (including the National seal). Every time I change the seal, I grease it before the damper is installed.

I've tried sleeving the damper 2x, once with the heat method - the other by press.

When I replace the seal in the boat, I made a tool that uses the damper bolt to push the seal on squarely.

The last seal lasted he season last year. After coming from winter storage the leak came back?

The other engine did the same thing after winter storage last year, it was rebuilt the year before. Sleeved it at the end of last season, it isn't currently leaking.

Anyone have this issue? These leaks are getting old!.

Leaks from the front cover, not leaking from the bolt/washer.
