You can try to let it set before running. That's the only thing stellings uses.

F-2 Speedy 07-31-2019 06:40 PM

rope seal or compression thin gasket ??

Kryptonite 07-31-2019 07:02 PM

Compression Thin gasket. V-clamp and T Bolt

F-2 Speedy 07-31-2019 07:04 PM

Ive never used it on the v clamp

Kryptonite 07-31-2019 07:09 PM

Re-assembing and 1 flange marries up perfect and 1 is a little off. T bolt was a bit rusty on that side so Im assuming it leaked alittle. Prior owner definitely used something on it from the looks of the gasket. Whats lesser of 2 evils, doubling gasket or Hi Temp red??

F-2 Speedy 07-31-2019 07:16 PM

the tails have to be aligned perfectly inorder not to have a leak......Id use sealant and not 2 gaskests

Thanks Speedy

One thing might be going on if this is twin engine they could have two pipes or two headers switched.
