Default Conversion to MerCruiser extender box

My bud bought a Merc 525 engine turn key with the extender box and drive. I`ve never seen one until now and have a question. What steering helm is used with the extender box? It has the steering cylinders mounted inside the extender box and no tiller arm at top.

Thanks

Yes it does. So it does require a hydro helm. I figured that it would even tho the seller said it didn`t. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Also if you wouldn`t mind could I possibly get you to take a picture of the inside of the transom. This would help me out greatly. Thanks
