Default Air filter on Pro Charger set up

Are any of you using a K&N type air filter on your Procharger set up? Mine seem to be collapsing and runs better without it. I do have a wire mesh cap for it........

Ran them for years with the mesh cap that was supplied from Procharger, never had a problem, can't say somebody somewhere didn't.

I could never use a element or even a 90 to attach one to because of clearance problems . I chopped 1/4 of air horn off and just ran the screen, Smitty
