Default BBC steams after running

Hi - I have just finished a BBC rebuild....runs great...increased CR, cam and bored...OE heads cleaned up and am running standard Mercruiser exhaust.....after running higher speeds (~above 4000), I noticed when I go back to idle I have light steam....especially out of the port bank, some on starboard side....the motor runs and idles fantastic....suspect water restriction somewhere. Should I change the manifold/riser gasket bleed hole, or is that business as usual for BBC?

Thank you for your feedback!

Normal steam at idle. There are many threads addressing the issue.
Are your temps good?

I could not locate the other threads... but will look better! My temps are very good. Thank you for the input...I guess there’s nothing I can do about it.

Do your due diligence and make sure there is not an issue.
There's a few threads in this search.

Rookie- for some reason the link did not work. Would you mind reposting?

Im not sure what else I can do but watch temps. The engine comes down just fine to an idle...

thank you for the input!

How cold is the water? When I boat in 70° water there’s no steam but when I boat in the 55° bay there’s plenty of steam.

I noticed steam for the first time coming out of the breathers this weekend. This was after firing up the boat and running it a few miles at 4200 RPM? It has been a little cooler up here, popped the hatch right after coming off plane, a little steam coming out. Everything looks great, no changes in the boat besides the weather outside. I chalked it up to cooler water / air temps. Boat sure ran good!

Thank you! Seems like if I run 3000-3500 rpm it’s ok, then over 4000 it steals a little....it’s getting colder too!
