I just did one of mine recently. You can warm up the ring gear itself with a propane torch for a few minutes (focus heat on ring gear not flywheel) and tap it off. Clean up the flywheel with a little steel wool, bake the new one in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes, drop it right on making sure it's evenly seated and then just let cool on its own. As mentioned above make sure you put the bevel side in.
