Picked up 2 sets of flat valve covers today from Dennis r and have them sitting in strippers overnight. I'll get them drilled and tapped tomorrow for the coils to be mounted. Then painted.
Smitty, Your EFI system from Dennis is in the trunk of the Caddy and I will bring that over to you when I dyno.

Now that I will not be needing a conventional distributor cap any longer I looked at the Holley replacement. OMG, more overpriced Holley equipment... I'm done giving them money. So, I decided to quick draw up a model and 3D print my own. I'll paint it to match the valve covers and engines and print smaller Valako RaceHeads emblems.

Mocked up the new valve covers today. I used my existing bracket to pattern the hole distances. I drilled and tapped the valve covers 1/4-20, used rubber gasketed washers on the inside, I tighten them up and seal to the inside of the valve cover. On the other side they act as studs to seat the coils on the aluminum bushings. Now I need to find a sandblaster that won't blast the s#it out of the covers and warp them. It's a slow-go using stripper to remove the paint.

If the covers are just going to be repainted, then don't see the need to remove all paint. Sand, prime and re-paint

That's a good point. Now armed with my newly acquired DA'ing skills from removing all the paint from my boat prior to paint. This should be an easy job. I'll grab my DA tomorrow and smooth the epoxy paint down and see how it blends.

My last piece of the puzzle arrived last night, LS Coil harnesses!
Got the valve covers sanded, drilled and tapped today. Also put down the the base argent coat before the orange gold.
