Crank triggers are money well spent. I have seen 30hp difference on back to back pulls using a crank trigger vs pickup in dist. And the timing is rock solid.

they make stubs that go into the distributor hole to drive the pump,,496's have them stock.

I'm not utilizing coil over so I'll need some type of distributor. I don't plan on using the Holley to control timing until 2nd phase of upgrades. These systems nickel and dime you:)

That looks like the one on the front of my 8.1L in my truck. |
Great thread, Kinsler fuel injection sells a multi step cutter that cuts the injector boss. They sell one for the rail and one for the manifold. They work like a charm. I thing I have learned from my cars is never use a drilled 90 degree fitting it will aerate the fuel only use the tubing 90's. Its fine for NA but boosted engines will let you know with melted parts.. How do you like the holley system? I use motec in my cars and am on the fence with getting a dominator efi for the engine I am building for my boat now, looking for some input

Tim I have not installed/used the Holley system yet, this thread is in real time. I know a few people who have the system and really like it. |
I sell the multi step cutter too and keep at least one on shelf for sale most the time, easier than doing it the old fashioned way!

Agreed, I already have ordered more tube 90° and 180° fittings. Shearing air out of fuel might be a good thing if you know what you are doing and in a controlled environment. I'm neither.
