Regarding alignment: if you do have issues, I would make the adjustments at the front of the engine and be done with it! When installing the engine, secure rear of engine without using the "extra" washers and then re-attach hoist to front of engine to align properly. with adjustable mounts you simply adjust them. If you have offshore mounts, once you have alignment correct, clamp offshore mounts drill holes to accept larger bolts and that should do the trick. That's how I did it on my previous boat and it worked like a charm!

Thanks again Tom , it does have an offshore mount . I will make sure the alignment is where I want it before I drill the mount brackets that attach to the stringers.
