I was wonder this too..i heard a rumor awhile back ..

If you want cheap gauges, I have used Faria before and never had one break or stop working. I have actually verified they are accurate as well by using my EFI system sensors and an additional oil pressure gauge. The only gauge I found to be a bit off was the speedo, but it was just a water pressure speedometer so I'd imagine most are off by a bit anyway.

I always been fan of automator but I'm looking into new ones as well..

What motor(s) are you running? Have you considered a "glass dash"?
