Why are you trying to pry the belt over the deep outside lip of the grooved alternator pulley instead of trying to slide it onto one of the pulleys that has a smooth side and contacts the flat side of the belt??

I purchased the K061120RPM and it worked, but I really think the K061119RPM will work also. I want to try the K061119RPM - it is only .5 inch smaller and I'm getting pretty close to the end of the adjustment on my alternator adjuster bolt with the K061120RPM. If you try the K061119RPM, please let me know how it goes. the K061119RPM should give you more room for stretch.

I am having the same issue on a 2002 496.

I removed the seawater pump to replace the impeller and now the new belt won't go on. Same part number as old belt (which I didn't take back to the storage unit with me).

So frustrating and really don't want to buy another belt or even aftermarket.
