I had one in the past that looked like it was seeping there but turned out to be leaking up at the front of the engine and somehow running back to that point.

I would strongly suggest upgrading to the Comtic (or similar) MLS steel head gaskets. They are expensive but said to be bulletproof and possibly reusable. Of course make sure your surfaces are straight and have the correct finish for sealing.

Wait, Simple explanation?
My incoming hose aft of the sea strainer had a split going into the sea water pump. Under way pressure would build and cause it to spray water in the bilge. I’m guessing water got trapped up there and caused the issue. It for sure was not coming from the head gaskets so that has to be it.
