In my 28ss the the batteries are long and narrow (similar to a John Deere tractor) the batterey mounts bolt into the hull through factory holes in the stringers. Did the factory use theese long narrow batteries or has this been done by someone else?

Hey Audio, I need one on each side to run just the boat stuff. and I am either going to add more batteries or a good on board charger to power my sound system. Which do you think would be better? Do they make a batterey charger/maintainer. that I can hardwire to my batteries that I can plug into shore power to keep my batteries up while I am jamming at the dock, or pretty much just power my system at the dock?
I have a yellow top in my truck right now and I love it.

If it was me I would buy the deepest cycle battery they make and I'm thinking it's one of the yellow tops (not sure). You are turning over a set of stock compression small blocks and you probably run your sound system on a weekend more than the boat see the direction I'm going here
I expect to see a set of nice shiney boxes from E.M. in your bilge they are a must with the Optimas

Scott, I am pretty sure that the yellow is the deepest.
Those stock small blocks may not be stock in the spring, right now they are laying on my shop floor in a hundred pieces
But if you are going to twist my arm about the boxes..............
Now, where the hell did I put that E.M. catalog?
