2 questions - O2 bungs and Jesel Rocker replacement

Got a couple winter projects:

1. I believe I've typically seen O2 bungs welded into the header, but if I have CMI big tube dry pipes would they weld them into the tail? I'll call CMI Monday but just figured I'd get some input here. Prepping to go to FI....

2. I've got the aluminum jesel rockers and they are breaking so going to go to steel. What is the difference between the sportsman steel, and the pro steel? I have the aluminum ones with the stands which I understand are compatible with the steel (same architecture). Best place to buy? Easiest just to buy direct from jesel or can I save a few hundred bucks going to a retailer.....

after the collector ... and at an angle is ideal.

So yours is in the tail piece, not the header if I'm looking at that picture right.....

At first glance they look more expensive that the Jesels, and I'm not sure if they fit in the same stands.

Does the Holley Sniper require O2 bungs on both cylinder Banks?

No, the sniper is only a 1-O2 system. Usually on the odd bank side BBC.

Eric, Bob McDonald is the guy I deal with at Jesel.

If you tell him you are experiencing failures with the aluminum rockers I feel certain that he’ll work with you on getting some replacements.

I had similar issues and he was very accommodating and my rockers were in the neighborhood of 20 years old.

Kelly,

You're the man, thanks. I'll call him. Not looking for anything free but helping out on rockers when they are 1700/motor would be appreciated....

We found the only way to fix the Jesel problem is to throw them away at 100 hours due to the heat cycles there put thru, and the Crower were Junk even after sending back for upgraded bearings by David ... give Dave Weseldyk a call and he'll fill you in on the Jesel you'll be surprized
Happy Holidays

While I do like to stay informed I would not ask Dave to spend his valuable time giving me (a non customer) his rundown on Jesels rocker arms.

I agree that (all) aluminum rocker arms have a service life or cycle expectancy.

Jesel will tell you the same thing right up front.

In my case they stepped up to the plate and stood behind their product even though the warranty had expired several years ago.

If or when my current aluminum Jesels start having issues I will likely go to steel but I will definitely stay with Jesel because of how they handle their business.

They are a well established outfit and they’ve been around a long time.

They earned my loyalty by standing behind their product when they were not obligated to do so.
