Newb here, looking to turn a 502 into a 540, have questions

I don’t know what your budget is, but I would absolutely build a 540 if you can. It will do everything easier and allow you to build in the safe zone everywhere. I did it with a Dart block and heads HP 500 cam Eagle bottom end, Mahle flat tops 9:1, 1050 on a dart single plane. Even leaving power on the table at every turn, it makes 625 @ 5400. 150* water temps and 230* oil at wide open for a week. You won’t be sorry.
