Default Trim cylinder bushings

When I pick up on the drive there is some movement between the cylinder bushings and the shaft they slide onto, both top and bottom shaft. Is this normal or is the plastic bushing inside the rubber worn that much.
Thanks

The rubber bushings in the ends of the cylinders? There shouldn’t really be any play between the rams and the drive. What do you mean by plastic inside the rubber?

Yes the rubber bushings on each in of the trim cylinders. There are plastic sleeves inside the bushings. So yours has no play? I didn’t think there should be any play but I couldn’t image that hard plastic wearing that much. Oh well a new set of bushings is less than $100 which in boat speak is almost free.

No mine has no play in those bushings, pretty tight around the steel rods. Yea I was surprised they’re actually reasonably priced when I looked them up.

replace them all quick. Mine wore out causing play which I believe ended up causing the gimbal ring to break.
