Default fuel hose?

I will be running some fuel hose 8AN from the mechanical pump to the carb what would be a good choice to use. Any suggestions would be helpful.

About any braided hose would work. Most all fuel line would be PTFE lined and help against ethanol break down. You can run braided stainless or black nylon braid. Summit racing sells all types.

yes they will work just keep in mind they are not coast guard approved so if there is a fire you are on your own with the insurance company.

to my knowledge there is no stainless or braided hose that passes. I think that currently fuel hose in an enclosed compartment has to have an A1-15 rating and fill/vent hoses need an A2 rating. unless things have changed aeroquip only makes one hose that meets that but it is rubber on the outside. what power level is this for? unless it is big power that needs it I would run 3/8 steel lines from the pump to the carb then there are no worries about hose leaking or going bad.
