Late Mando style, I see MERCURY MARINE PART NO. 12449. MADE BY MANDO KOREA. Although the back of mine looks far different than the picture shown, only the ground on mine uses terminals. The rest are inside some shielding.

Called the company that we bought the carburators from, they said absolutely don't put it on the ignition coil, as that could draw enough power to weaken your spark. I don't know if that's true or not, but right now I'm finding a way to tap into the purple alternator wire. I tuned the idle screws a while back to mercruiser preliminary adjustments, worried I might have messed something up there as well.

How long did this boat sit ? Did you do a fuel sample ?

If timing or something else in ignition is off, tuning a carb is meaningless.
Ok, today I got it to run again, choke is working great after I tapped into purple wire. The only problem is it needs quite a bit of throttle to stay running at 750 RPM. Other than that it's overheating a bit but that's been a problem for a while. It needs quite a bit of gas to get running but after that it runs great with some throttle applied. Any solutions for that?
