Mine is just one beep a little over a second long. I would think if it was a PCM that lost power it would shut the whole show down until an actual turn of the key. I think with mine everything is powered. I'm leaning towards a crank sensor. If the PCM loses crank or cam location for a fraction of a second it would likely skip a beat so to speak.
