Default Corsa muffled tips

Recently purchased a 2004 38 Donzi ZX with 525's. I understand that these CMI pipes are problematic on these motors. Mine are good at this point and have had the updates done. with only 250 hrs. on them I am trying to do everything in my power to make them last. The one thing that I would think would put more than necessary heat in the pipes would be muffled exhaust tips. I believe that these are Corsa Tips. Does anyone know if that is what Donzi used? Should I remove them and put a freer flowing exhaust tip on? Just wanted to get some thoughts.

I have a single 525 in my 22' Donzi. The circa 2007 CMI headers are still fine and I did not do the modifications. They run mostly cool or just warm to the touch. I put open tips on the exhaust. Saltwater and long unsupported tail pipes seem to be part of the CMI failure problem. Donzi did use Corsa tips on my '05 22 Classic. You won't gain any measurable speed increase but the 525s will sound a hell of a lot better!

Was wondering if anyone has ever removed the baffles in these Corsa tips?

I'm sure it's been done but I've also wondered if the big empty cans at the tips would cause turbulence and have a negative effect on exhaust flow.

Changing the mufflers to straight tips will do nothing. Water flow will remain the same.
