In Griff's message above I'm not sure about the upper to lower coupler he's referring to in the Bravo units but with the Volvos they're designed to fail if the props hit something. Kind of like an expensive version of a shear pin but still intended to spare a lot of expense.
To help put a bit of perspective on the incident do you know the power of the engine , size of the propset and the weight of the boat ?
The motor is roughly a 575sc clone with a 1.78 DPS spinning 26P props in a 4500# Cobalt 252

Very useful info . IMO that coupler could be at its limit but in time I'll be interested to know of your overall drive reliability , and I mean that in a good way.
Been in this I/O game for a long time and I've run at least 6 different makes/types of drives over the years. Bravo issues are well known and that's even before you throw big power in front of them so hearing of a newish Volvo that's really hooked up is going to be interesting.
Disclaimer .. I currently have a DPS/a but it's on a 19 footer with 300hp and also a B3/502 Mag on a 25 footer. Really , really like the DP advantages .
