Good day all.....are the newer 525's better and more reliable than earlier engines?
Are there years to avoid, and/or don't buy anything before this certain year?
I just sold a boat with twin 496 mags, nice reliable engines but feel that I want to move up in size
and speed (35-38 ft, 80+mph).
Any Information is appreciated

One plus would be newer ones with the cool collar header flange, less prone to stress crack and leaking and fresh water would be a plus.
