Has anyone retrofitted a new 525HP in an older boat? I am curious about guage operation. Does the 525 only use smart craft for engine conditions or can it be "hardwired" to older style guages without changing the (and whatever else) senders out?

According to an article in the January edition of "Family and Performance Boating Magazine", there is an optional interface that allows the engine to be wired to older style analog gauges.
