Running a Blackhawk drive
Recently had Blackhawk 1.36 built . I’m currently running 31 p props . Tested this weekend and looks like I’ll need more pitch cause I’m over revving . Anyone know of a prop guy that has experience in these props . Thanks , Hf…

BBlades would prob be your best bet, but you can only adjust pitch by about 1" which will reduce about 200rpms and maybe reduce another 200rpms with added cup. You might be better off to change to 1.25 ratio gears.
If you're over revving then are you running a 100+mph ??? |
turn it up we run an 540 over 6500rpm

If it's not making power past 6000 there is no reason in the world to rev it past it. What RPM does Eddie say prop to?
|
we run solid rollers and big valve springs we are good to 7500 the power does fall off but so does the friction of it being up out of the water and i dont care who you are a healthy bigblock at 7000 sounds awesome
|
A Blackhawk is not gonna last very long behind that much power anyway. Save your $$$ for an SCX.
