Can anyone help identify these seals? Who or what is CRE? Contact information?

intake seals. when these were run in factory class the engines had to be sealed and could only be rebuilt by certain builders to maintain equity. if those were missing you were disqualified as they knew someone else had been in them.

That was my first guess too. I am hoping that someone will know for sure or maybe even Tyler will see this and chime in. These were on the oil pans of both engines. Only one had a seal on the intakes.

I thought from the factory they had 3 seals. Intake, pan & front pulley. I really expected to get a lot more input on this subject.

Thanks SB/Glass Dave for the link and info. It is a long story, but basically, I bought these, HP500's Gen VI engines, ran them, one sucked water, opened it up to be sure there was no serious damage. Opened other once I saw what was in #1. Not matching lower short block internals, water sucker has Mercury Racing H beam rods and pistons, other has GM dimples and pistons, but both are in need of refresh. Down to short blocks now. All for now.
