Default 10 pin cannon plug

I'm replacing the engine wiring harness on my HP 500 and bought the 849142A1. It's a 9 pin and the one I'm replacing is a 10 pin.

I'm confused as the boat side of the plug connected right up. (old engine was a 1998 502 MAG HO MPI) Looking through the repair manuals and online I see that 502 MAG wiring harness looks to be 9 pin.

Where did the 10 pins come from? I cannot seem to source any. And there's not much mention of the 10 pin cannon plugs when I do a search.

Thank you

Ahhh, sorry guys.

Jumped the gun and just saw the 10th pin hole was drilled out. There is no electrical connection inside.
