I have this one on one of my cars. Plugs into the obd port. They also sell a 12v adapter for it. Works well. Updates every 3 seconds. Can get text alerts if it moves out of an area you set. Very reasonably price.

Do you know how many trackers / subscription? or does each one need a subscription?

You’re assuming thieves are smart. They’re not. If it comes with a 12v adapter or one that only needs a 12v connection it would be very easy to wire into a place to hide.

Even works on a smart thieve lol.
The one I bought, has a built in battery.
If it gets unplugged, you know and will run keep working. Mine is not hanging off the obd port. I have a 90 degree adapter, thin ribbon cable, so the unit can be mounted elsewhere. I have it tucked under the dashboard. You can't even see anything is in the port unless you get on your hands and knees and look very closely. Then they have a 12v harness/adapter that you can wire to battery or any other 12v source, and mount anywhere you want.
I'm very happy with it so far. I think I bought it last september.

I know a lot of guys that use an old cell phone with tracker software on it. Tuck it away and have it wired into the battery. Never goes dead. If it gets unhooked you still have about 24hrs of life in it to know your stuffs missing and do what's necessary.

Usually the only reason I get a new cell phone is because the battery won't hold a charge lol.
