I just talked to George at AADS and he can't get NEO right now and he is recommending Amsoil Marine. The NEO that George used to sell seems to be about a 75w-110 and the Amsoil Marine is a 75w-90. I like the idea of mixing the Severe Gear 75w-110 with the Marine 75w-90.

the issues I experienced were delayed engagement, not necessarily slipping once in gear and running

I have had 2 instances where delayed engagement started after switching to Amsoil. Both instances the cone clutch was worn out. Put in new clutches and the delayed engagement went away. Amsoil must be "slicker" than merc gear lube, but these cone clutches were obviously on borrowed time. I think in a bravo drive that is in good mechanical condition, Amsoil is a very good product.
